Sandra Owens (Sullivan)

December 6, 2013

Sandy Owens, 1964 portrait Roger Castro received an email from Sandy's son, Todd, who, uppon checking her email account on March 10th, saw email from Roger and thoughtfully wrote to him informing him of Sandy's death and thanking him for including her in class information emailings.

Sandy's 1963 school picture The picture on the left is the one she gave to Andy Figueroa shortly before the day she rotated back to the "States" in the spring of 1964. Yes, she really was that beautiful.

The picture on the right from the 1963 Accolade. I'm sure Sandy wasn't that happy with that picture, and it might have been the reason she skipped out on school pictures for the 1964 book.

The picture on the bottom right was published with Sandy's obituary in the Bradenton Herald, with the text that follows.

Sandra "Sandy" Sullivan, 67, of Bradenton, passed away on December 6, 2013. Sandy is survived by her loving partner of 15 years, Tim Schroyer, children; Todd (Tammy), Tammy (Billy), Sheena (Baraa), and Scott (Kristi), parents; Chester and Lucille Owens, sisters Bobbie Korneder and Kathy Ranck; brother; Mike Owens, 11 grandchildren, 3 grand-dogs and 1 grand-cat.

Sandy was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Before retirement, she was a Regional Manager with recycled paper greetings at a greeting card company. Sandy was a long time parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of the Celebration Singers. Picture from obituary
