Pat had been planning to spend the weekend in Dayton, Ohio, attend the Spring 1989 mini-reunion taking place along with the meeting of the Steering Committee, and spend some time with classmate Anna Marie Filippelli, who was waiting for him at the airport, but he wasn't on his plane, and he didn't answer his phone. Later that afternoon we learned that Pat had died suddenly, at home, earlier in the week.
It was a shocking tragedy, and we were all stunned.
