MARSHALL SCOTT KEAN

I left Spain for the U.S. right after graduation (on the same ship with Ted Crowley, in fact). Enrolled at St. Michael's College in Vermont (with Tony Ingrisano as a classmate) and graduated in '69 with a degree in Drama. I picked up several graduate degrees along the way with an eye toward a career in higher education teaching was on the theatre faculty at Montclair State University (in New Jersey) for a time and then became sidetracked by the acting bug - while keeping myself together with a string of side and parttime jobs in the greater New York area (as many young actors have to do)- everything from newspaper work to slinging potato salad for a cheesy caterer in the Bronx. I never had quite enough courage to re-locate out to the west coast and try my hand in Hollywood...though I visit there from time to time - so who knows...? I finally decided to grow up and get a "real" job and in 1982 ended up back in higher education - this time as an administrator at Colorado College, where I have been ever since. For a long time, I have also maintained another life as a portrait artist (oil and graphite, mostly), with a growing list of clients, corporate and individual. This all keeps me pretty busy. I had a nice reunion with Jacky Robin Clyman in New York this winter - my very first MHS contact (aside from college classmate Tony Ingrisano)since 1965! Best to all.... Scott
